What precautions do you take regarding COVID-19?
I take every precaution to keep everyone safe. I take my temperature before I leave for your session, I wear a mask the whole time we are working together, if I’m not feeling well I will contact you immediately. If you are not feeling well prior to the session, let me know and we will reschedule your appointment.
I don’t want anyone to see my space…Are our sessions confidential?
I need to see your home as it is, don’t clean before our appointment. This allows me to create a system that works for you. I don’t judge and confidentiality is of the utmost importance to me. You trust me to come into your home I take that seriously and will not talk about your session with others.
Do I have to get rid of everything?
No, you have the final say on items to keep or get rid of. I will ask you questions about why you may want to keep the item to determine its importance to you. I will make recommendations and suggest that we put items in a holding area with a specific date to make a final determination, but it is always your decision.
Do I have to be involved or can you organize my space for me?
Yes, you are involved in the decluttering and purging is an essential part of getting you organized. I will ask you questions during the process about your goals, the way you use the items, your lifestyle, etc. As we go through this process, I will teach you organizational skills to help you maintain the order. If you can't be there for the final organizing part of the process based on your answers from our sessions, I can put thing in their place for you.
What do you do with the trash or donations?
We will discuss where you would like to donate your items. I have many contacts that may be willing to take items to keep them out of landfills. We can schedule pick up for large items, if they are not too big, I could take them to the locations for you for a fee. Trash and recycle items would be processed in your home.
How far do you travel?
I live in Livingston County, Michigan and will travel to surrounding counties. Depending on the distance we may find that a virtual session would work better for you. Additional fess may be incurred if over 45 miles.
Do you have gift certificates available?
I do have gift certificates available for purchase. Organizing is a personal situation - be sure that the person you’re giving it too will not be upset by receiving it. Gift certificates are transferable but not refundable, and expire one year from the date of purchase.
Why should I hire a professional organizer?
I have a passion for organizing. I continually research the different organizing methods available to help me create the right system for your style. As I am unattached emotionally to your items, I can better assist you in your decluttering and organizing process.
